Outlook 2016, how to force confirmation of meetings on the day or remove from room diary

In the company where I work we book meeting rooms using Outlook. These
are usually continuously booked and yet many meetings do not actually
take place. I would like to put in place a procedure where on the day of
the meeting the organiser is requested to confirm that the meeting will
go ahead and if they fail to do so the meeting is removed from the room
diary. Does anyone know of a way to do this?

Thanks
