Hi folks,

I am having major problems trying to uninstall zonealarm free on Win 10
with all updates

I used Revo Uninstaller, tried unlocker to manually delete folders,
googled for info in 2017 on how to uninstall

then this

https://www.bleepingcomputer.com/download/zonealarm-uninstall-tool/

but it won't operate in win 10

Help!

I'm thinking of reinstalling then uninstalling it using geek uninstaller

(part of the program was gone but mainly still there, very weird)

You'll need to format your hard drive to correct this (common) problem.

Hope this helps.

"Bother!" said Pooh, as he inserted the suppository.

By the way what is your flavor of Linux variants these days for a duo
core 1.7 ghz laptop for someone used to windows? the number seems to be
astounding, I want to balance speed with a few bells and whistles and
not too complicated for linux noobs like myself

Make sure ZA is not running when you try to uninstall it. Look in Task
Manager etc to make sure it isn't running.
Do more Internet searching if need be.

Brevity snip!

I may run into the same problem. These software writers should warn people
that once you install their software you're stuck with it like a cancer.
That it's almost impossible to remove. If you're familiar with run/regedit,
you can try removing the keys as well as deleting all the files/folders.

I have no experience with Windows 10, but i have noticed that some
Android apps won't uninstall while they have an internet connection but
will if you manage to get off line before you try to 'uninstall'.
