Email Client With No Mailbox Size Limit?

Can anyone suggest a good basic email program that does not impose a limit on the inbox size?

I'm currently using Thunderbird 17.0.4. My clients send me alot of emails with PDF drawings attached to them so I reach the 4GB limitation very quickly. I do some archiving but that only gets me through for a few weeks before I hit the limitation again.

It would be nice if there was a way to import my current Thunderbird messages to this new email client should one exists. By the way, I will soon be running Win 8.1 if that opens up possibilities.

The subject of whether there is or is not a 4G limit in Tb is very
complicated.

Read some of these articles and bug report stories:

http://kb.mozillazine.org/Limits_-_Thunderbird The maximum folder size
used to be limited to 4GB.

How to Increase Your Mailbox Limit in Thunderbird

The information in the second article is not supported by the
information in the first article; which first article describes in
greater detail how the 4G limits were removed but the removal may cause
problems 'here and there'.

Mike Easter KNOWS "complicated" becauze he was one of those kids who
studied the arithmetics which use letters and cartoons instead of numbers
and then they did their problems with letters and cartoons in horizontal
lines across the page instead of numbers stacked on top of each other like
everybody else...

How did they even borrow or carry the digits like that? Well there ya
go...

"Complicated" is "NO PROBlem!" here at the helpdesk!!!

HTH.

some things you can do:
create a new LOCAL folder in thunderbird , say clients.
use the move , right click ,.... to clients

then do compact on inbox, AFTER deleting some non required items into TRASH and then empty trash

you can backup your email then to external disk, just find your profile folder and copy as you would any other folder to backup device.

finally if you need the email 'online' move a copy back to inbox, not only works for pop .

where imap setting only mirrors whats on the server

Eudora is the email client you're searching for.
When you find Eudora_7.1.0.9.exe somewhere on the web, this is the
username and password Qualcomm released when they went to open source.

RegFirstNamePro= Paid_Mode_No_Support
RegLastNamePro=Without_X1_Search
RegCodePro=4352-4846-7641-3881

I've been using Eudora since 1995, and I still have all my emails
(except spam) from that year and all years in between. Eudora will
hold as many emails and attachments as I have hard drive space to
store.

If I could post the software via this free nntp service I'd do so, but
alas...

I've used Eudora since before the beginning. It's still quite viable.
I use it on Win 7 & 10.
